a palace, yet extremely suited for the modern lifestyle. Opulent yet practical, the Etched
Stone Series can add another dimension to an everyday installation.

Mosaic -The mosaic pieces are 5/8” x 5/8” and are sheet mounted. They are a combination
of plain Biancone, Botticino and Giallo Reale mixed with approximately 25% of the same size
etched stones. The mosaic can be cut into cost effective strips or dots, which make very

Multicolor - Using the old world technique of “aqua forte”, designs are etched onto Travertine
Chiaro stone, then filled with colored pigment. This variation adds to the old-world feel of
this series. Every stone piece accepts the etching process and pigment differently, creating
variation in color and design. This series can be used as accent dots with Artifex Tumbled
Stone or many other series. |

Ravenna Grigio Medallion - This Medallion is made from Botticino Stone which has been etched as
well as stained gray, to further enhance the design definition. The 24” square medallion is comprised
of four 12” square pieces. Also included is a 4” x 12” border and 4” x 4” decorative. These additional
pieces can act as a stand alone feature strip or decorative or can be used together as a frame to
further complement the medallion.

GROUT & CLEANING
|
It is possible for etched stones to pick up pigments from contrasting grouts:
so care should be used when selecting grout colors. It is very important to
clean the excess with a damp sponge, repeating on the etched part of the
tile. Never use harsh abrasives or chemicals. Once the tiles are dry, a thin
layer of diluted wax can be applied to return the tiles to their natural shine
and beauty. Alternatively, a specific anti-stain treatment mixed with natural
turpentine can be used.

MAINTENANCE
Although the series is suitable for floors, we discourage the use of vapor
cleaners, chemicals or acid-based liquids. Solvent based cleaners, especially
those with acetone or other aggressive solvents, should not be used. The tiles
can easily be cleaned with warm water and neutral detergents, and
occasionally wax-based emulsions.
