Tagina Apogeo | Italian Porcelain Tile
“Apogeo,” Italian for “apogee,” means the highest point of an object’s orbit. It is the perfect name for Tagina’s new line. Tile trends are cyclical, and the current trend of “return to rustic” is a natural fit for Tagina. They simply looked to their history and the products that made them famous; then using the latest technology and a contemporary sensibility, they created this new line which represents the pinnacle of their considerable capabilities. Rich colors, wide variation, and slightly chiseled edges are all characteristics of Apogeo. Multiple sizes, including a hexagon, allow endless design options. There is a lot of variation in this line which cannot be ascertained by looking at one piece. Please check tile samples before making final selections.

Additional Information
Colors
Note: The Golden and Tortora colors can be easily confused because the Tortora color looks more gold than the Golden.
Sizes
*Note: These sizes can be used in patterns, but they are not necessarily modular with a grout joint. Many patterns can be accomplished by using a grid layout to establish the correct repeat. This should be discussed and planned with the installer before product selection.

Trim
The surface bullnose is made from field tile that is cut, ground and reglazed.
Usage & Installation
To attain the proper mix of graphics and color it is important to mix tile within each carton and blend tile from several cartons during installation.
Most Italian manufacturers recommend a maximum offset of 8” (20cm) on all large format tiles when setting running bond. Please refer to ANSI requirements for setting large format tiles ANSI A108.02 Section 4.3.8.

As noted in the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) the coefficient of friction varies considerably due to facts not under the control of entities such as the manufacturers and distributors. These factors include, but are not limited to, contaminants, slope of terrain, drainage conditions, adjacent surfaces, etc. Suitability for any installation can only be determined by a site examination of all conditions that could affect the slip resistance of the tile being installed. Continual cleaning and maintenance must be performed once the tile has been installed.
