Edimax Focus | Porcelain Tile
Edimax brings their inimitable taste and high quality production to a contemporary slate look with the Focus series. The three colors of this colored-body glazed porcelain are lively and have incredible depth and variation; the gentle surface texture makes it feel, as well as look like real stone. For the customer looking for a slate alternative, Focus will be a great option. But it is not strictly slate and will appeal to everyone looking for a tile that is simply beautiful.

The surface bullnose is made from field tile that is cut, ground and reglazed.
Installation Information
As with all inkjet lines, there are many different graphics that are mixed and packed randomly. It is important to pull from multiple boxes during installation, rotate pieces, and note the placement of the different images in order to get the proper final blend.
The factory recommends a maximum offset of ¼ the entire length when setting a running bond. Please refer to ANSI requirements for setting large format tiles ANSI A 108.2 Section 4.3.8. It is recommended to use a 3mm grout joint.
Conic reversed edges: The tiles are produced with a particular system in order to obtain reversed conic edges on the sides of the tile. This enables the installation to be done with smaller joints, similar but not quite as small as a rectified tile. The conic edge is very square at the top (without a cushion.) To avoid possible chipping of the tile, it is imperative to both handle the full cartons carefully and to handle the tile very carefully during and after removing it from its original packaging.
The Coefficient of Friction is a general guide only. Testing may vary with different production runs and with different testing labs.
As noted in the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) the coefficient of friction varies considerably due to facts not under the control of entities such as the manufacturers and distributors. These factors include, but are not limited to, contaminants, slope of terrain, drainage conditions, adjacent surfaces, etc. Suitability for any installation can only be determined by a site examination of all conditions that could affect the slip resistance of the tile being installed. Continual cleaning and maintenance must be performed once the tile has been installed.
