Elios Tropical | Italian Porcelain Tile
Tropical is a series with two distinct parts. The 2 x 10 Porcelain Wall is glossy; its surface has gentle undulations, soft shade variation and movement, and deliberate irregularities like uneven glazing along the edges which give it a hand-crafted appearance. The 8-1/2” Hexagon offers another aesthetic from the ceramic tradition. It has a matte finish with a slightly uneven surface and some graphic movement. The two options can be used together as a coordinated wall and floor combo, or they can be used on their own, or even paired with many other products.

Wall Tile Installation Information
Brick Mosaic
The Brick Mosaic is cut from the 2x10 Porcelain Wall. There is some uneven thickness and surface that is emphasized when it is cut into approximately 1” x 2” pieces. Cutting the pieces also means that some edges have the rough or glazed edge and others are straight. This creates an uneven, three dimensional surface with natural lippage and occasional chipping that add to the hand-crafted look.
Wall Coordinating Trim
Expect variation in color and size between field and trims. There is limited shade variation on the pencil bullnose; the shading is more uniform than the field tile.
Wall Tile Installation Information
The top layer of glaze on the 2 x 10 Porcelain Wall is a special application that creates the deep look of this tile. The glaze does not reach all the edges of every place, leaving a slightly rough texture along those edges. This is an intentional characteristic of this tile and adds to the final look and feel of the installation. Extra care must be taken when grouting to wash the grout down to the proper level leaving the rough edges exposed in order to obtain the full effect.
Hex Tile Installation Information
The Tropical Hexagon is suitable for walls and floors including residential and light commercial use. The minimum recommended grout joint is 3/32”. Please note that this material is non-rectified. If using more than one item (i.e. Porcelain Wall and Porcelain Hex) or multiple colors together, please check the caliber and be aware that you may have to adjust the size of the grout joint to make your pattern work. As with all inkjet products, there are many different graphics that are mixed and packed randomly. It is important to pull from multiple boxes during installation, rotate pieces, and note the placement of the different images to get the proper final blend.
