Its 5x10 porcelain size - compact and harmonious - is cloaked in a glossy glaze with the depth and vibrancy of antique enamel. The glaze is thick and luxurious, and it is glossy without being overly reflective, creating a surface that catches the light like still water. A single finish unites all three elements of the collection: the smooth base tile, refined in its purity, and the graceful Botanic and Woven decorations, where form becomes a quiet expression of beauty.
Terre Etrusche is a Terracotta look in 3 colors named after the regions in the middle of Italy, the “Land of the Etruscans.” The name evokes the historical nature of the terra-cotta look. And while it holds its place of importance in the ceramic tradition, it’s an aesthetic that never goes out of style. This porcelain version comes in 16 x 16 and an 8-1/2” Hexagon, both sizes that are historic and also current.
This is a superior quality product with detailed graphics and an exceptional finish that really give the impression of an intricate mosaic floor or wall. It looks truly amazing when installed! However, due the special nature of the material, it’s critical to have it installed properly. This is not a DIY type material. Customers should make sure to select a qualified and expert craftsman who is willing to spend the time and effort needed to do it right. This will include doing a dry layout including moving and rotating pieces to get the best alignment and knowing where each piece will go. Also - it should be noted that the 24 x 48 size eliminates most grout joints and creates an almost seamless finish, but this also means that where the pieces meet the patterns have small modifications, and there can be slight misalignments of the patterns from piece to piece. The installer will need to work with this and show customers the dry lay out before setting the tile to make sure that you are satisfied with the final effect.
The Vintage Deco line brings a fresh perspective to the world of 8x8 decorative porcelain tiles. Rather than copying patterns from encaustic/cement tiles, the concept here is to reach into a different tradition - ceramic tiles. The line is a rich tapestry of designs selected from different times and cultures. From Morocco, to Eastern Europe and then to Italy, this series takes us on a journey that celebrates the history and artistry of ceramic tile. Each pattern is lovingly recreated and produced with shading, including deliberate fading, marks and imperfections, that make it look gently worn over time. The three field colors have rich shade variation that makes them interesting options on their own as well as a balancing complement to the decos.
Twist is a new interpretation of decorative patterns pulled from the rich history of ceramic tile art. The Pop pattern, with its rounded edges and intricate details, gives a very high-end effect. The tile surface is matte and the pattern is a glossy glaze embossed over the matte background (white embossed on the Black, Sky and Green and black embossed on the White). Twist is fun and dynamic and allows for designers to play as they can mix colors, use the deco and the plain field together, and just generally find creative ways to make projects sing.
Elios, a leader in bringing the cementine tradition to porcelain, presents their next generation of decorative tile. This rich, new anthology includes often requested patterns and motifs that come from different times and places. The color palette includes the classic combination of black, white and grey and also expands into new territory offering a warm taupe, a gentle light blue and a serene aqua. Together these decos are a collection that was painstakingly curated with today’s tastes in mind.
Euro uses modern technology to achieve the quintessentially classic terra-cotta look in glazed porcelain. Its slightly undulated surface with the marks of traditional hand-made terracotta adds to the series’ authenticity. Cotto features two finishes, Natural and Grip, allowing a fluid transition from interior to exterior spaces.
