Thymos is inspired by a marble from the Anatolian peninsula that seemingly preserves the breath of the Earth. It is a material of rare beauty that is defined by measured contrasts and an innate refinement. The chromatically uniform background is mottled with delicate nuances, and the foreground has fine and warm veining which runs across the surface in multiple directions. The brushed finish introduces an elegant note of brightness like the soft reflection of filtered light. It recalls the time-worn surfaces and enhances the depth, color tones and graphic details.

Each color has a mixture of hues, including both cool and warm tones, that combine to create a final look that is appealing and accessible while also being modern.
In Tinte Unite, Gazzini presents a simple concept, a line of solid colors, with their visual eye for detail. The surface is not completely flat, and the three colors are carefully studied to be the best possible versions of a pure white, a deep black and a soft, warm light grey. With a rectified 12 x 24 and 12 x 12, and a non-rectified 8-1/2” Hexagon, the line provides many options for combinations and patterns. In the end, Venetian has enough character to take center stage as a focal point and enough subtlety to combine with other products as an understated supporting character.
Gazzini’s new marble, White Beauty, is their interpretation of the real marble with the same name. They wanted to make a marble with green tones and selected the White Beauty because it’s a unique material that is now difficult to find and extremely expensive due to the quarry closing in 2023. They achieved the realistic look and feel by using large quantities of glaze and layering them in a way to get the very deep green and black veins that are the defining part of this marble’s look. They also brush the surface which creates additional depth in the graphic and also gives it a touch that feels honed.
